Course Overview
This certification covers CPR and AED use for adults, children, and babies, along with additional emergency response techniques and Quebec legal requirements.
- Basic laws in Quebec about requirements for people holding this certification
- Stroke recognition (FAST) and treatment
- Chest pains, heart attack vs cardiac arrest, and treatment
- Assessing someone’s LOC (level of consciousness)
- Airway management
- Assessing breathing and giving effective rescue breaths
- CPR technique for adults
- CPR technique for children
- CPR technique for infants
- Using an AED
- Partial and complete airway obstruction in adults, children, and babies
- Recovery position
- Understanding particularities in children

3 hour class or a 1.5 hour class for BLS renewal

Minimum Requirements
Be a Healthcare Worker / Available for groups of 3–15 people per class in Montreal or Laval
Price
$80 per certification (tax included) or $55 per certification (tax included) for BLS renewal
*For renewals, you must have an active BLS provider card to be eligible.
